Yeah, as you know, it's not the power going out that causes the damage, it's when it flickers or comes back on is when you get into trouble unless there's a surge protector involved. A number of years ago I had my desktop computer plugged into a a backup battery/surge protector but the battery only lasted about a minute or two. I either had something robbing it of juice or it was a faulty battery. Meh. Hopefully all the storm issues are over with for you. This one wasn't much to write home about at all, but what a gorgeous sunset, rainbow, and so forth afterwards. Great timing.  |

Think the power did finally go out at the office, but it was after I'd left. And a good portion of my city was out for parts of Friday night, but not here.
Driving around today, I saw a bunch of downed branches, some busted/toppled signs, a toppled light pole, Burger King's sign took some damage and one office building near the BK & light pole had at least 4 busted windows and 2/3 of the canopy ripped off.
It was a little windy yesterday. Some gusts were clocked at 124 kph (77mph).

Saw a bit more damage tonight, a few more busted signs.
And, happy happy, we have a wind & rainfall warning issued for tomorrow night now! Oh joy!

Valid point...valid point. The Obnoxious Orange Blip would do something like that in an attempt to thwart our actions in this thread.
...but, if you're innocent as you seem to be suggesting, why did you not either plug the cable back in, or report it? Why stand there, swinging it like that, hmmmmm?
