And what about new keyboards?
This one is less than two weeks old and the following keys have already started to fade: a s h n v m , . y u p o k l.
What's worse is that the A & S were showing some signs of wear on the FIRST DAY. What the heck do I keep doing to these keyboards??

Have an interesting fire story? Please share it.
1) No preference. Don't think I've ever had wireless, so I can't really compare. What I would like is a keyboard where the letters don't wear off quickly. And by quickly, I mean quickly. I got a new computer at work, been using it for two weeks and half the letters are showing sign of wear. The A&S were showing signs at the end of day one! 2) Oooh, fire, prettttyyy.... Over the years, I've learned a few things about fire: a) If you're trying to light a portable bbq, using briquettes, you do not need to douse them with close to half a bottle of lighter fluid. If you do such a thing, don't drop a match from immediately above the bbq unless you have no sleeves and quick reflexes. b) While it may be pretty to look at, watching a flame burst out around a pot on the stove can also be a frightening thing. c) Don't light a bunsen burner with the oxygen & fuel both turned up high, lest you leave a scorch mark on the chem lab ceiling that they will talk about for years afterwards. (this also ties in with "You would be amazed at how quickly your lab partner can rush you to an open window when you've inhaled flourine gas rather than wafting/sniffing it".) Anyone wonder why I'm an accountant and not a chemist now? |
