Well, back to work and wondering why a Hollywood celeb felt the need to take a potshot at our weather, via his Tweets...

Because that celeb has nothing better to do with their life.

I cannot believe that neither of the folks doing the trivia this morning knew which Beatle was the first to get married.   Rolling Eyes

Question O' The Day:

There's a restaurant in South Carolina which does not allow screaming kids - they will be kicked out.  They're finding an increase in business as adults are enjoying going somewhere and not having to deal with someone else's out of control kids.  What do you think of this?

-------
While I hate to see them kicked out, it really isn't fair to disrupt everyone else's meal.  Ok, found an article on this, if the child is screaming, the parents will be asked to take the child outside to calm them down. They won't be asked to leave for good. In that case, yes, I agree with it.

When they posed this question on the radio this morning, everyone agreed with the restaurant's stand, and this was both childless people and people with kids. One of the DJ's disagreed and he had no one backing him until one woman sorta agreed. She said the best way to handle the screaming kids is for everyone, parents & other patrons alike, to ignore the kids. They'd come out of it more quickly that way.

I can see both sides.

1. Some kids have some very nails on a chalkboard screams and it is hard to sit near one, while trying to enjoy a nice dinner or lunch out.

2. People shouldn't be forced to leave, especially when they are spending money. They have as much right to have a meal out as much as non-parents.

I suppose one could use the argument that a loud adult would be asked to leave, so why not a loud child?  I like that they did say the family wouldn't be kicked out, just asked to step outside till the child quieted down.  I can see both sides too.

Yeah, asking the parents to just step outside and try to quiet the child down is good. Heh, if I ever acted out (which wasn't often), I would just get threatened with a spanking and all was good.

Ditto. But that was back in the day when parents were allowed to discipline their kids without the threat of child abuse hanging over their heads.

...was going to say something but the minute I thought "I...", the words to "Like Dreamers Do" popped into my head.

"And I...aye yi yi yi yi yi..."

Hmm. Loses something in the translation.    Wink

Why preslice bagels if you're going to do it so badly?  Don't they realize how hard it is to evenly toast something that's been presplit at a 75/25 ratio?

They only want you to eat part of it. Not the whole bagel. Wink
