Today Ivey and family took me out with them, to see a movie called "The Benchwamers".  Ivey and her dad won free passes for the movie.   Before going, we got to eat some pizza and than hit the road.  Once we got there, we sat and watched very boreing and well, not too fun ads until 7pm rolled around and on came the trailers for movies coming out.

"Over the Hedge" looks like a Great movie, it even has a Turtle in it!   There was a few other funny ones in there too.  I hope to get to go to many more movies.

Now about this movie...

This movie is about three guys, that are not known for baseball in their area, two of which never played baseball a day in their life.    Their friend wanted to show them to play some ball, though a bunch of kids showed up and told them to get off the playing feild.    The three guys end up playing the kids and winning the rights to play at the feild.   This means so much more to a child who watches them beat the other kids, since this child was just picked on by these kids earlier that day.   His father is rich, and wants these three guys to play for all those who never got the chance to be on the feild.  And named their team the Benchwarmers.

The plot ends up being about the Benchwarmers going against team after team of baseball players in a touranment.  The winning team gets their own Baseball feild.   The rich father is a big nerd, though has some awesome stuff... from star wars, to the Batmobile.    Including a talking Robot named 7 that can do just about anything he tells it too.  Pretty cool robot with a personality.

The movie does have a twist to it, though I won't say that here.   I will say that the movie is really well done.  A lot of humor,  if people like slap stick humor they will really enjoy this movie.    Ivey says there's a chance I might see it again before we leave, cause she wants to take Shadow Wolf to see it.

This was a premire showing, so the movie is coming out tomorrow to threatres.   If anyone else sees it, please do share your reviews here.  Happy/Smile

That does sound like a funny movie, though I'd rather wait for it to come out on DVD. BTW, you really should post a short cast list so we know who plays who. I know Jon Lovitz, David Spade and the guy from Napoleon Dynamite are in it.

I saw the previews for this and it seemed funny but... i think this movie will be one i wat to come out on video before i actually go see it in theaters... which means i won't, heh.

So yeah, either video or TV. I have no real desire to see it

Heh I wouldn't have seen it, if I didn't have free tickets to go.   So yeah, I understand that.

Hiiiii I saw it and I thought it was super funny Very Happy/Big Grin Though I don't have much more to say then that heh. I went out to see it with my boyfriend Scott because it reminded me of him....and afterwards I thought of most of my other male friends as weel, as far as the house full of Star Wars stuff and comic book stuff and everything....I got a kick out of the guy having the Knight Rider car too heh. I'll defiantely most likely be getting it on dvd. If that sentence made sense lol.
