I never really thought I'd be posting this and I hate to have anyone think I am racist. But as all of you know last year 2 hurricanes hit this area of Texas and Louisanna hard. Unfortunly alot of people came to Houston and needed aid.

At first Houston did all they could, offered their homes, donated food, water, clothes, money, companies gave out free food......but now alot of these people have taken advantage of us and in return treat us like crap. I speak from persobnally experiance now.

I live in a lovely neighorhood but a few months ago a house was bought by a bunch of Katrina vistors and it's been hell.

I'm beening stalked by 3 black guys, so I can kiss my walks and walking the dog goodbye. My mom has to walk to dog in the bayou area now cause the females come out hissing at my mom accusing our little dog of leaving big poops in the grass. My mom said today she was walking the dog and 2 of those guys followed her thinking it was me walking the dog.

*Sigh* I don't know what to do anymore. I walk in the day, but most people are either at work or asleep. I can't walk alone and can't even check the mail cause I seen them outsidewatching me and try to approach me. I can't attend the campus anymore cause even there has been these vistors  trying to follow me and lead me away from people. So because of these people I take online classes,it might be more expensive but I'm not going to rish getting hurt or raped.

Same thing goes for when I am at home, I have to say indoors unless my friend picks me up. I just don't understand this, why are some of these people acting like disgusting monsters thinking they can harm whoever they please & it doesn'teven bother them? What the hell makes the sin of lust so damn powerful to them?

And I know this sounds bad but it's starting to annoy & scare me. I miss my normal days of walking, now I have to be extra careful cause of the dumb guys acros the street. Whatever do I do now? I just wish they'd leae for good and leave us alone....Sad/Down

Sweetheart, if they're really making you that uncomfortable (and man...it sounds justified...I've been stalked by strange guys enough times to feel yer pain..), give the cops a call. I doubt you're the only one it's happening to, and the more complaints that happen, the more likely there is to be a patrol set up.

Hopefully, anyway...I have no idea what the police force is like down there, but that's how things work in MN and how they worked in upstate NY when I lived there.

Keep your eyes and ears open, but don't let 'em control you completely. The more you let them scare you, the more power they have over you and the better victim you look. If you've got a cell phone, carry it with you, and don't hesitate to call 911 if things start getting too scary.

Good luck with it...trauma does strange things to people, and that could very easily be part of their problem, but the hardest hit parts were the poor parts, and when hopelessness is so prevalent, unhappiness and anger are sure to follow. In the end, it's really their own issues, and so long as you keep yourself safe, but still live your life, it shouldn't affect you.

But yeah...best of luck with it, and take care.

I agree, it's your neighborhood that you used to feel comfortable in and enjoy living in. You shouldn't have to feel unsafe and hide away now! Call the police anytime you feel uncomfortable!! I hope things start looking up for you Love
