Another convention coming up later this year is Youmacon.

This event takes place in Troy, Michigan.  Not far at all from Detroit.   Registertion is $35 - July 1st to September 30th, and $40 at the door.

I've pre reged for this con, pre reg for $30 for the weekend ends at the end of this month.  

This is very local to me.    It should be a really good convention, I'm going to talk to the guy who runs it, to recommend some good guest  I'm hoping to recommend both Mike S. and Wayne Grayson.  I'll see what he says.

This con sounds fun..... November is a hard mnth for me to get time off.... but I will look into it as I would like to go!

I really can't wait for this event, Crittle and I have been talking a lot about it.  So has Shingami.

I know a handful are looking at staying with me, we need to get together and find out who all is coming and what's going on with this.

I'm thinking of a lot of other GREAT stuff we can do while people are in town.  Please note that we'll be near the Detroit Zoo (which is a wonderful place to visit while in town).   And I'd LOVE to take everyone to the Cider Mill that my family goes to yearly.

It'd be nice just to have sometime to relax and hang out with everyone who's got the time.    Though if you can come in just for the convention, that's still fun as well.  I remember this convention being a total blast last year!

I've officially bought my ticket for this con! I can't afford plane tickets as of yet, but I'll be getting them soon. I'M SO HAPPY THAT OUR HARD WORK IS PULLING THROUGH!!! *hugs Ivey* I can't wait for this!

An update about Youmacon, a few more guest are being invited... I placed a ? next to their names because it's not confirmed yet, though these guest would really make this for a wonderful TMNT meet up.  Esp for any Leonardo fans out there.

I'm trying to get out there.  I'm just not sure how I'm going to get out there yet.  I would like to go...at least for a really cool b-day gift...I just need to find an east coaster who would like to go with me if I drive there (sad, I'm 22 and my parents treat me like I'm 9).  But I WILL find a way out there!

New Guest annoucment!

Kevin Siembieda!

This guest is for just about any Turtle Fan!  His name is Kevin Siembieda and without him, TMNT may have never been more than a comic book with a few things released here and there (like the dark horse minatures, glow in the dark T-Shirt, iron ons, and such).  Kevin is the owner of the RPG company that picked up TMNT, and through that he introduced Mark Freedman to Eastman and Laird.   And the rest is history.

So if Kevin didn't introduce Mark to the Turtles... would the Turtles have ever been a TV show, movies, or toys?   We'd never know.  So this is someone every fan should 'Thank' if they get to meet.  And ANY fan coming to Youmacon will get that chance!


BTW I did talk to Mike, he's going to check his shedual about coming.  He's deff interested in coming to this convention.  I will update as soon as we get the news on this.

Siembieda, that's his last name!  I heard this earlier, but that's really great news!  I've got one of those RPG books.  IF I can make it, I'll bring it to have signed.  Oh, and I learned how to pronounce his last name.  It's Sem-bee-da.  Cool, eh?

I invited Cam Clark to Youmacon when I was at "Another Anime Con" and sadly it's too close to the convention and he's already booked up for that weekend , so Cam will deff not be at Youmacon.  It's a real bummer, he's a really nice guy.  

I did how ever let him know about Turtle Con, and invited him to join TMNT-L.

Aww that's a real bummer. I was really looking foward to meeting him too. Oh well....

In other news...I think Mike *might* have forgotten again. I really hope someone gets ahold of him soon to give him a friendly reminder....it's getting down to the last few weeks and still no answer. I'll be double disappointed if HE can't come either!

IT'S NOT FAIR!  All of my professors made sure to have exams Thursday and then that Monday!  IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!  Sadly, I won't be going.  I wish I was though.

Bad news everyone. This past Monday, I had 4 seizures due to some fault in my meds dosage. I've decided not to come to Youmacon in case of a problem like this happening again, I don't want my friends to have to deal with it. Also to save money for Chrismtas/Katsucon amoung other reasons.
I'm really sorry guys, but I've already become a burden on my boyfriend and his family as far as this goes, and I really don't wanna have to burden any more people then I already have. Maybe next year when my levels are fine and they're certin that I won't have any more problems to deal with. Once again I'm sorry.

Wow this is coming up so fast.  Brinatello is going to be here very soon, and the convention seems like it'll be just around the corner after that.

I wanted to give my plan for the weekend out to everyone.  

Ok, first I'll love to invite everyone from TMNT-L to come with to our local Cider Mill on Friday morning, the convention does not start till 3pm, so I was hoping to take some up to the Cider Mill, it's the BEST Cider Mill I've ever been too, so I love to take my friends there if they come durning fall time (took Lisardo and her mom there last year and they loved it! )   I'll make sure that our group is back to the con hours before it starts, so there shouldn't be any worry there.  Anyone interested in doing this, that hasn't talked with me yet please feel free to contact me.

Next there's the shedual it's up on Youmacon's web site.  Pre Regs can pick up their badges on Thursday evening so I'll be doing that.   Than I'll be at opening panel.

I'll post my shedual more later this week, gotta look it over and talk with the others on what's going on and who's going where.  Heh already saw two things going on at once which I want to split in two to be at both.  I already know where I'm going to go, though going to see if a friend can video the panel that I'm missing for me... I believe SW will do so seeing as how that panel would have her attention more than the autograph session I'll be at.

Anyone else have anything they'd like to do over the weekend?  Get together for dinners or anything?  Please let me know and I'll be very happy to meet up with anyone for group events.  I love getting to hang out at cons, that's what conventions are for!  

Please people, do concider the Cider Mill, it's free to go though food does cost I'll buy some donuts and cider, though you may want to bring a little to get extra (cause I think I'll only be able to afford a dozen donuts) oh and bring friends!  Even if they're not on TMNT-L!!!!   Friends are welcomed!
